Michael Keer
Chief Executive Officer
Mike serves as Chief Executive Officer. Mike has over 20 years of Sr. Level High Technology business leadership experience in both OEM and CM environments. Mike is a result-driven executive with high energy level to identify market opportunities and leverage resources to realize sustainable gains in bottom-line profitability and top line growth. Prior to joining the SofTEQ Group, Mike was Sr. Director of Operations for Paramit Corporation, an Electronic Manufacturing Service provider. While there, he managed the Operations to support a fivefold increase in revenues over six years. Mike received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Masters in Manufacturing Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He is the former president and founder of the Silicon Valley Regional Council for Excellence.
Dave Orejel
President and Founder
Dave serves as President and Founder. He founded the SofTEQ Group in January of 2005 with the vision of bridging the product development gap between Engineering and Manufacturing. Dave has been in the electro/mechanical product development industry for over 30 years, with a focus on Engineering Design and Analysis (EDA) tools and sales. Prior to the SofTEQ Group, Dave founded Hytek, which provided leading edge Engineering and Software services to High Technology companies. There he served as VP of Sales and Operations for 14 years and achieved status as the #1 reseller of of PADs electrical layout package for over 10 years. Dave has a degree from Bay Valley Technical Institute in Santa Clara, CA, and currently serves on the Board of Cimmetry’s AutoVue product development group as an EDA advisor.
John Kaplan
Vice President and CTO
John co-founded the SofTEQ Group with Dave and currently serves as CTO. He is responsible for Applications Support and Training. John has been in the high technology product development industry for over 20 years, with a focus on applications support and training. Prior to founding the SofTEQ Group, John held management positions in Quality Assurance, Software Applications Support, Training and Customer Service. He is a veteran of 4 startup companies, including Cypress Semiconductor and NextLevel EDA, a software training and library services company which he founded.
Mark Kastner
Vice President of Sales
Mark serves as Vice President of Sales. He brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, and sales management at several Bay Area high tech companies including Philips, Marvell, and National Semiconductor. He brings an outstanding reputation for developing and maintaining key relationships and the ability to penetrate customers to identify their needs and provide solutions. With deep experience in leadership and management of both small teams and large organizations, Mark is a key player in building and directing our sales and marketing organization. Mark has a BA from Arizona State University and an MA from the University of Oklahoma, as well as extensive leadership and management training in the USAF.
