SofTEQ PLM Utilities
We have developed utilities to complement the Omnify PLM system and offer capabilities not currently on the product roadmap. These utilities have been created from direct customer feedback.
ChangeXtract
ChangeXtract exports Omnify Change data to Excel for quick and easy analysis. Organized into three distinct worksheets, information is presented in an easy to understand format that facilitates high level summary information as well as detail drill-down capabilities. Utilizing standard Excel functionality in combination with specially created data fields, users can sort, filter, pivot, and chart the data as needed for both day to day operations as well as monthly, quarterly, or yearly summary reports.
ChangeSummary – displays single line summary for each Change created and/or released in user selected timeframe as well as all Pending Changes. Calculated ‘Days Open’ field shows cycle-time of Change and can be used to quickly identify outliers that require further analysis.
ChangeStageDetail – displays individual entries for each Signoff Stage within the items listed in the Change Summary sheet. Calculated ‘Days Pending’ field can be used to analyze cycle-times by stage and/or by user to identify process bottlenecks.
SignoffPending – displays users (and their alternates) who are currently active for signoff on all Pending Changes. Calculated ‘Days Pending’ field can be monitored to identify users who might need a ‘friendly reminder’ about Changes in their Inbox.

Attribute-Importer
To save manual entry time and improve the quality of data, SofTEQ has developed a semi-automated process, where item attribute data can be entered into an excel file, and attributes then added in bulk into a Change Request form within the Omnify PLM.
How can you use Attribute-Importer?
- Mass upload of purchasing costs, lead times, and quantities
- Mass upload of RoHS attributes (item level)
- Upload user defined item attributes
What are the benefits?
- This is a manual entry time saver if you have no ERP system, or if item attributes are not being passed from ERP to PLM
- All changes are tracked in the Omnify Change Request form so there is no risk of direct database entries
