RoHS Compliance
Background
RoHS is short for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS is also known as “lead-free”, but this law deals with five other substances as well. Due to RoHS regulations, manufacturers of electronic equipment must meet certain requirements in order to be able to sell their products in Europe.

Compliance deadlines to the RoHS directives have arrived, and companies are under tremendous time pressure to make ensure their products comply so they may continue to ship to the European Union.
Many organizations, especially SMBs, do not have the resources, time, or expertise to accurately determine whether their products meet the RoHS Directives, or how these may affect their businesses. For those organizations that require a little extra help, the SofTEQ Group has developed a unique and affordable service that offers a complete independent assessment.
